Matured in ex-bourbon casks, this limited release is named the Reconciliation. To reconcile is to put aside differences and extend the hand of friendship or to accept the Friend at Hand.

Aged in a combination of three casks; American oak sherry, European oak sherry and American oak bourbon. Very aromatic with notes of marzipan, orange peel, vanilla, pear drops and cedarwood.

Initially matured in first fill American ex-Bourbon casks and then finished for nine months in fresh ex-Tawny Port casks. The Tawny Port finish contributes intensity, richness and complexity to the whiskey: figs, apple and pear on the nose, a rich taste of cocoa, clove and blackcurrant, and a warming long finish.

This is Batch B01 and is part of a series which will follow the life of a single cask by withdrawing three limited bottle releases and allowing the bulk of this whiskey to continue to mature.
