This is a single pot still whiskey that was distilled at the old Midleton plant in 1973 and bottled in the late 1990s. Around 1,000 bottles were released and they are becoming increasingly rare. The old Midleton Distillery stopped production a few years after this was distilled. It is a very characterful pot still that has picked up extra spicy notes from the sherry wood on top of some subtle honey. A piece of history.

This Midleton was distilled at the old distillery and released around the time when Irish Distllers was formed. It most likely comes from the late 1960s or early 1970s. An interesting 'Reserve' or superior quality bottling, a lot of these were kept in collections as it was deemed too good to drink!

A blend of pot still and grain whiskey, which was married in a single cask.
